JERRY GOFORTH HONORED

Jerry Goforth, the KGA director for Alvamar Country Club, was elected by his fellow directors as the association's president for 2003 during the October 26th meeting of the board. Jerry has been a highly dedicated KGA volunteer director since 1994. His annual contribution to golf easily exceeds 25 days a year as a rules official, course rater and association officer. Joining Jerry on the executive committee are vice president Miles Nichols of Wolf Creek Golf Links, treasurer Jim Deckert of Mission Hills Country Club, secretary Don Briggs of Leavenworth Country Club and immediate past president Don Wasson of Rolling Hills Country Club.

The KGA executive committee works closely with the association's professional staff in implementing policy set by the board of directors and managing the day-to-day functions of the association.
