This newsletter is published by the Jayhawk Chapter of Kansas, Military Officers Association of America, as a service to all members.  The Jayhawk emblem is used with the permission of the registered trademark owner, the University of Kansas.  Publication is made at bimonthly intervals.  The newsletter is only as good as the material available, so each member is requested to forward news and other items of interest to the editor or one of the service editors.

     As our nation prepares for a new conflict, let us not forget those who have gone before us. We should be especially grateful to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Consequently, we have asked Erv Hodges to give us an update on the Douglas County Memorial for our March meeting. I would invite all members to come and hear what Erv has to say.

 

     Your Board of Directors has also decided to add two additional meetings to our bimonthly schedule (April and October). We will have a special presentation on the Dole Center Dedication at our April Meeting. Please come and hear about the latest plans for this national event that will take place here in Lawrence. As you may have seen in recent news articles, a principle element of the ceremonies will be to honor the World War II veterans. I would invite all of our members to come to the March and April meetings to hear how we can participate in honoring our local heroes. See you there!
