Personal News:

The day after the last Jayhawk MOAA meeting (22 October), John & Shirley Halladay left for the East Coast to attend the 25th Infantry Division Reunion in Hampton, Virginia. As you are well aware, Hurricane Isabel hit the Coast on the 23rd. We got as far as Beckley, West Virginia, where personnel from evacuated Langley AFB post housing were staying. We decided Isabel was bigger than we are and getting any closer to the Coast wouldn't be smart, so we headed south to Huntsville, Alabama, to spend the weekend with Shirley's son, John; then west to Hot Springs to visit John's daughter, Zandra, and her family; and enjoyed five (5) new golf courses enroute.
